Our culture spends crazy money on drama. Movies at the theatre. Movies at home. Movies in our cars. Gigantic high definition expensive televisions so we get the best possible picture for our favorite show. DVR technology so we don’t miss anything. Live theatre at $100.00 per ticket.
Why do we spend such huge dollars on storytelling? Because a good story that is well told is captivating to everyone! Hello? Why not apply the same principle to our church strategy? Drama is a medium of communication that invites the listener into a moment that they, themselves, have experienced and can relate to. It’s tangible. It’s emotional. It’s real.
And incase you haven’t noticed, our society is addicted to so called “reality” played out.
