With over 60 groups to pick from with locations all over the Tulsa Metro including Pryor, Jenks, Owasso, & Skiatook we hope that you find a community group that you can call home. These Adult small groups, with typically 12 – 16 people, meet in homes on a weekly basis, for the purpose of advancing in our journey with Christ and developing authentic Christian community. Another way to look at it is “doing life together.” Each group has a slightly different “feel” but all will have components of fellowship, bible study, prayer, worship, and mission. We hope in their simplest form they represent an image of the body of Christ and they help us corporately be the church in the community and across the world.

If you missed our big expo at the beginning of the semester this is a great way to connect.

There are so many ways to get connected to a Community Group at BattleCreek. We suggest first starting through our ADVANCE track by attending the DNA Labs, Vision Dinner with Pastor, and then one of our Advance Topical Groups like Nucleus. Another way is to check out our Interactive Google Map that lists all of our Community Group options for the current semester or picking up one of our current directories at the info booth on Sunday morning.

We always recommend contacting the community group leader or host home before trying to attend to make sure you get any updated information on what is going on with the group the time that you visit. You may be interested in finding a group based on location, age, phase of life, or material.

Other ways to find a group is to visit one of our four Community Group Expos that are held at the beginning and middle of each of our Community Group semesters. Look to the event page to find the next upcoming expo.

Lastly, as you meet individuals at the church through serving or just as you live life at BattleCreek ask them about community group. Most individuals come and stay connected to a community group through a friend or referral from someone they know in the church or contact the adult ministries office and see if we can help. We would love to answer your questions and help you find a group that fits what you are looking for.

On which day of the week do Community Groups take place?


One of the great things about Community Groups is that they fit with every person’s schedule. Pick the day and time that works best for you then select the group nearest to you that works. Please check with the group Leader for specific times.

How often do Community Groups meet?


Most groups meet weekly. It is up to each Community Group Leader whether or not his or her group meets each week throughout the year. Breaks in children’s environments are scheduled during the Christmas Season, Spring Break, and Summer. Due to vacation schedules, groups consisting of married couples with children often do not meet during these times.

How long does each group meeting last?


Generally for an hour and a half to two hours.

Can I join a Community Group at any time?


All of our groups are “open” groups. You can visit or join at any time. You are free to visit other groups at any point during the semester, to determine which group is best for you. We do encourage you to “land” at a group as quickly as you can and try to connect for that semester and then if it isn’t a fit try another group the next semester.

What goes on at a group meeting?




Though each group differs in how they do things, many groups have a social time in the beginning, and then they transition to a time where they discuss the book or the Bible study and then spend time praying for each other. Some groups also end their time together in groups of guys and girls for accountability and prayer.

Where do my children go while I attend Community Group?




Environments are offered on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for children and youth. Some groups provide childcare on their own because of group location or dynamic of their groups.

How do I become a Community Groups Leader or Host Home?
